Concrete is a brittle material with high compressive strength and relatively low tensile strength. With the continuous development of modern construction technology, higher requirements have been put forward for cement concrete, the largest building material. Therefore, it is developing in the direction of high strength, high toughness, high crack resistance, high durability and high-volume stability. This paper briefly discusses the mechanism of action of organic fibers in concrete and the research and application status of common organic fiber concrete, and puts forward problems that need to be further solved.
The organic synthetic fibers commonly used in reinforced concrete are: polypropylene (PP) fiber, polyester fiber, polyamide (PA) fiber, high-strength and high-mold polyethylene (PE) fiber, aromatic polyamide fiber, polyacrylonitrile fiber, etc. The elastic modulus of polymer fibers is generally low and belongs to low elastic mold fibers. The performance indicators of commonly used organic fibers are shown in Table 1.
